Day 23 - 7 days remaining

Eventually quantity will make for quality.

This is the start of the final week, Nano Writer!

Today's word count is 38,333! Did everyone have a chance to catch up over the weekend? For most of us in the states, we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving this Thursday and many schools schedule time off so students can go home for the holidays! More time for writing, right?

Excerpts? Comments? Questions? It's all good!

Keep writing!

Not much today, but I tidied up, added to, and improved the two scenes I worked on yesterday, which is nice. Though considering I did have an exam today, a few hundred's not so bad. :D

At least it's all over now and I can work on my NaNo guilt-free for the rest of the week. Should knock it off in a couple of days. The 50k at the very least. The story is not anywhere near finished, however, so I shall just have to keep on writing until it is done.

Trying to work out how long to leave between the current situation and the main epic event at the end, and what do do, if anything, in between. Haven't done much time skipping so far, so I'm not sure if several months would be too jarring. Ah well. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

And once that's done, then go back and finish those other two WIPs I need to finish before doing any editing work on my NaNo. XD

I finally got to the end of Chapter 12! That pushed my word count to 46462, so not far to go for 50k.

Don't think I'll get any more done this evening because I'm watching tennis, but the word count has crept up to 47064.

Had a long break of banging my head against my netbook trying to get past the block. Having spent four days on it, I've decided to skip ahead a few chapters and write what I want to, rather than trying to force what I don't. After the month's over, I'm going to be going back and filling in the blanks.

I've completely lost my cusion, and I'm aiming for 40k by the end of today. Hopefully I'll be able to get back in the groove.

2000 words today, and I'm up to 40,500 something. If I can keep on at this pace, I'll be done by the 28th like I need to!

Hit the 52361 today by writing the pre-chapter. I decided to make the ex her ex-girlfriend while also indicating that she has dated boys as well (making her either bi- or pansexual).

We had a bit of thunder and lightning during our write-in today so that was pretty cool, especially since out spot also looked out on this old medieval-ish tower, prompting some people to declare that next time they would write horror.

Just discovered I won't have computer access from the 28th. Argh!

I'm sitting at 40,500, so if I write 2500 each day, I *should* still make it, but it's gunna be tough!

Got it up to 42k this morning. Am planning to take it up to 44k tonight.

*wipes sweat from brow*

I can do it!

I wasn't feeling that great today so only got a bit over 800 words. That brings my total to 48,519 very close now. :)

I haven't been commenting on these because I've been writing late at night, so I get done and I see the next day's post! But I found this one specifically so I could say:

I got to 50K today! :D

(rhyme unintended)

Story isn't done (I hope to finish it by the end of the month, otherwise I'll feel like a failure) but I have until next Monday to do that :D

(last year I got to 50K on the 22nd, but last year I didn't end up getting bad news in the early part of the month and spending a day out of town, either. I had an outline last year, too.)
