Let's Build a World: Day 15 - Resources

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.

It's Day 15 for Nano Writers's Let's Build a World. Read over - Resources from Stephanie Bryant's 30 Days of Worldbuilding. Get your notebooks and bookmarks at the ready and read today's exercise:

Check out some of the websites that relate to your novel, and pick out a book or two that you plan to read, either between now and when you start writing, or to flesh out your world after you've written your first draft.

Ms. Bryant provides many excellent links with today's exercise - so check it out if you haven't already!

For something a little different, I'll recommend a couple of books for your consideration:

The Writer's Guide to Everyday Life in the... - series of books cover many historical periods (the Middle Ages, the 1800's, etc.). Amazon link.

The Writer's Complete Fantasy Reference - good beginner's guide. Amazon link.

World Building - classic reference, Amazon link.
