Block Buster: Writing Challenges!

A competitor will find a way to win. Competitors take bad breaks and use them to drive themselves just that much harder. Quitters take bad breaks and use them as reasons to give up. It's all a matter of pride.

What’s after all, a little competition between friends?


After music, Nano Writers listed competition as their next best strategy for beating writer’s block. Whether competing in Word Wars against fellow writers or challenging themselves using the Write or Die web application, there sometimes seems nothing better than the buzz of adrenaline to keeps fingers flying across the keyboard, placate the right-brain child, and silence the harsh voice of the inner critic.

Over the next couple of days, we’ll take a closer look at the different ways that Nano Writers use the competitive high to bust through writer’s block and cross the NaNoWriMo finish line!
