Your word count is great! And you know what they say about slow and steady. Don't fret about what's "extra" or "extraneous" now. That's for later, right? Everything goes into the stew in November! You never know, some "extra" bit may actually give your story an interesting twist or flavor to consider later.

And my story so far is going pretty well (knocks on wood) for me this year, thank you for asking! Today I get to stage a Murder-Most-Foul... it should be fun!
