Fast Start for NaNoWriMo Day 19 - p**t - 3 Days until...
- Clive Cussler

There are three more days until the start of NaNoWriMo, Nano Writers! Today we continue drawing out a map of events for our story and see what our antagonist has planned...
So you're almost there! There are characters missing from the backseat having gone off on their own, weary of the trip or looking for other adventures, but everyone who stayed, who survived, is now staring out the front of the car, for once speechless as your destination comes into sight, gloriously lit by the sunrise...
Then the road turns and the panoramic view drops out of sight. But the car is filled with excited chatter and good nature horseplay as you toss back the sock, damp with days of wear, hitting the love interest character that has been exchanging barbed comments with your protagonist, smiling now with a shy look that dares to meet the other's happy look in the mirror.
Suddenly the car stops. You drop the map. Looking up you see that the road ahead is blocked by rubble. Miles of rubble. Nearby, on the side of the road, lays the evil bag - open, empty - like a silent scream, a promise of more trouble to come.
This must be the work of the the character with the scary smile. So why does your antagonist need to stop your protagonist so badly? How does he do this? What does your protagonist do?
Who wins? Remember, even as much as "Hollywood endings" are appreciated, not all stories end with a happily-ever-after. Be true to your story and characters when deciding how your "road trip" ends.
Tomorrow we'll review the road map for our story and offer some final words before the real trip begins! In three days! Until then, keep writing!
