A beautiful word count! And a game of rivalry works too! I think that it's built into the animal to want to best our fellow man at something/anything. I have to admit that I have a bit of the competitive urge myself ;-) And for me, I think I work best moving towards something than running away from something. But as kallistixf says, different strokes for different folks :-)
