NaNoWriMo 2010 - Day 19

Day 19 - 11 days remaining

Whatever job I had, I was always writing like crazy.
All I ever liked about offices was being able to type up
stories on the computer when no one was looking.

Today's word count is 31,667! How is everyone coming along? Having some trouble finding the time to write today? Well not to get anyone in trouble or anything but...

You might take inspiration from today's quote! So while you're waiting in line to buy tickets or after you got your seats and before the previews, write out that next scene in your notebook or your smart phone or netbook. Count the minutes before the movie begins in words written for your own version of the next great story of our times. Or you might try... ;-)

Excerpts? Questions? Comments? Writing location secrets to share? It's all good!

And remember... keep writing!

50124! Yay!!!!!!!!

Today's excerpt:

"Is Athena up to her usual tricks?"

"What do you mean?"

"She's been angling for the CEO role for a while. It wouldn't surprise me if she's intentionally setting things up to make you look bad."

"No, I probably just screwed up." I looked at my calendar on my phone. "Sure enough, I had a meeting scheduled with her. I don't remember seeing it this morning but Kalliope wouldn't have double-booked me."

"Don't be too sure about that. Muses and Moirae works very closely with Golden Apple Investments -- as does Hellrazr and Nemesis. They may all be working on Athena's behalf."

I thought about it. It certainly fit with Eris' concerns that I was being too trusting. And the anomaly had gone out of her way to make it clear that she didn't want me to look empowered ... could this be part of the reason why? Kalliope had consistently seemed friendly and helpful, but it was such a political environment I could certainly imagine some hidden agendas.
