NaNoWriMo 2010 - Day 29
In the long run, a people is known,
not by its statements or its statistics,
but by the stories it tells.
- Flannery O'Connor

So close to the end Nano Writer - today's word count is 48,333! Good luck to everyone still writing whether you're working hard to write several thousand words to reach the finish line or finishing up the last scenes for your story or even more bravely, writing on despite the long odds that you will have 50K words by the end of the month... you are all to be commended! You are true writers...
Because it is as Ms. O'Connor wisely said: in the long run, it won't be important how many people won or didn't win the NaNoWriMo challenge but rather it is the stories, the stories born of the challenge, written, completed, shared with others and if nothing else, serve as inspiration for future story tellers, these stories, that create our true legacy we have all won this November.
So write on! You can do it! Today's quote was submitted by Nano Writer

Excerpts? Comments? It's all good! Keep writing, Nano Writer!

Oy vey.
If my first novel was the bright oldest child who suddenly hit a road bump at age 18 and languished around the house for the next three years doing nothing, and my second novel is the overachieving middle child who could do no wrong, this one is definitely the youngest, the "problem child".
On the other hand I should be able to wrap things up by tomorrow night, and the plot is where it should be.
Still though, I think I'm going to celebrate tomorrow night with a very large glass of hot chocolate and a long, long nap.
And then trying to replace they keys on my laptop keyboard which have broken this month. xD

Congratualtions!
Cheers! Here's to hot chocolate, new keyboard keys and November months with shiny endings! Well done!
Re: Congratualtions!
I've just crawled out of my post-NaNo hole (hehe) and wanted to say thanks so much for all the hard work you do with this comm every year. I know it can't be an easy job, especially posting with encouragement and tips for all of us all through November, so seriously, thank you!
Even when I don't get to comment on all the posts, I definitely appreciate them :)
*sends you chocolate and shiny*
