Camp NaNoWriMo - Day 7

Day 7 - 24 days remaining



So fellow campers, our first week is coming/has come to an end... how's everyone doing? I've had a great week - setting up my tent, roasting marshmallows, and doing a little bit of writing. My protagonist has demanded a full novel to tell her story rather than the short story I had imagined and she and I have made good progress: a little over 25K!

The Camp NaNoWriMo thread on the NaNoWriMo forums is here but all forums may be used by adding the tag [Camp NaNoWriMo] to the front of your post title. The tag makes it a little easier for fellow campers to find your post.

The Stats page on the Camp NaNoWriMo site has been updated: there's a bar graph now that looks more like the old NaNoWriMo stats page that counts up to 50K. Check it out by selecting "Stats" from the drop down menu under your camper profile.

I have nothing. I thought I had something but the file got ate. I didn't have it backed up, so now I'm back to zero. My fingers are going to hate me once I get going again.

I'm so happy to hear though that you're not giving up! You can do it! To help with finger and hand cramping, you might check out these hand exercises. Good luck!

Those might come in handy... I'm slowly recovering some things but it's taking some work. I'll definitely be ready for camp come August.

I've been swamped by going crabbing and doing prep work for both FemSlashCon 2011 & International Day of Femslash 2011, so have been more than a little distracted from writing. Hoping to get myself a little more situated schedule-wise to get some writing time in.

Sounds fun! Prep work is good and if July doesn't work for you this time around - the official Camp site is scheduled to go live this August with all the bells and whistles. Hope you find that writing time :)

I'm at almost 11k. I actually fell asleep in the middle of writing last night (woke up at 12:30 am with a laptop in bed, put it away, and went right back to sleep), and I've been tired all day. Hopefully I can get caught up (or even ahead a bit) tonight and over the weekend.

Your word count is almost right on the money and it sounds like you needed the sleep! The weekends are good for catching up (on writing and sleep ;-) but getting ahead is great too! Good luck!

I completely forgot about Camp Nanowrimo.

Right now I'm trying to decide if I have any inspiration or stories to tell this month.

How about August then? The site is running in beta mode through July (a lot of the site works for me although there have been hiccups) but Camp will go "official" with all the bells and whistles beginning August 1.
