Camp NaNoWriMo August 2011 - Day 14

Day 14 - 17 days remaining

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Stories have a beginning, a middle and an end.
But not necessarily in that order.

The word count today Nano Writers is 22,580. How is everyone coming along?

If you have stalled out and you feel uninspired or unsure about where your main character is headed next, skip a scene or two or even jump ahead to your climatic scene or final scene. There's no rule that you must write your story in sequential order. Shake things up a bit. The change may jump start your enthusiasm and creativity... how does your MC end up on hanging from one of the girders of the Eiffel Tower?

Questions? Shout outs? Last word written today? Mine was rather plain: "see." But it's all good Nano Writers - keep writing!

That's so true - since I'm stuck on a beginning, I started writing from the middle and went from there (my word count though? :p I'll have to try for next month's camp ^^'

*grins* I do that like ... Always. I have my beginning. And after that I have lots of parts of my middle piece. And I have parts of my ending. :p
I often switch between pieces because I'm stuck somewhere. And then I work on another part, until I get stuck there. And then I move back to a previous one where all of a sudden I can continue again. :p
My last word today is "live".

I'm trying to resist the urge to jump around too much because I can never figure out how my characters get from Point A to Point B that way! Thankfully, I'm doing fine working start to finish this time around - I just passed 25k, and I don't think I'm quite at the midpoint of my story yet either, so I'm nicely on track. Oh, and today's last word was "Seth", who may or may not be a good guy. I think my characters will be figuring that one out tomorrow.

haha, true! How often (aside from the 'official' nano) do you have these Nano Camps? :)
