nano_writers | Blue/Purple Contest: What a Character! Part 1

Okay Nano Writers! It’s that time again so put on your writing hats and grab your favorite pens/pencils/keyboards. This month we’re going to be talking about your story’s characters and characterization tips and techniques. And to kick things off: a contest!

Like last month’s contest, this one will also have two parts: one where you do the work and one where you… well… do the work ;-)

Below are ten portraits of people whom one might encounter in a book or story as the hero/heroine or the bad guy/villainess of the tale. After each is the beginning of a statement that the character in question might say or answer about themselves. For example: “My best kept secret is…”

You, Nano Writer, will complete the sentence, using ten words or less, writing your response in the space provided (all answers will be screened). Be as outrageous, funny, serious, silly or creative as you wish to be (but again, let’s keep things PG-13 or better, folks).
