Day 22 - 9 days remaining

Close the door. Write with no one looking over your shoulder.
Don't try to figure out what other people want to hear from you;
figure out what you have to say. It's the one and only thing
you have to offer.

Barbara Kingsolver

Coming out of the weekend, we start the last full week before the final days of Camp NaNoWriMo, August edition. The word count for today is 35,483 but no matter what your word count is Nano Writer, it is still possible to cross that 50K finish line 9 days from now!

Which means if you're reading this from the starting line, you'll need to write about 6,000 words of your story everyday - but don't panic! 6,000 words can be broken down to a manageable 2,000 words over three daily sessions that for me, hunting and pecking, takes about an hour's time which should be a very easy stat to beat!

So find or make the time that you need and start writing! Shut out all those voices that say "no" and "you can't" because you can. There's a story inside you that's ready to be told and you are the only one to do it!

Questions? First lines? Last words? It's all good! Keep writing, Nano Writer!

My first line today is : "Sport is your life. But do you live to sport or do you sport to live?"

Last line yesterday : Before he can react she turns around and walks away. She doesn't know if she could handle it to feel his arms around her and his lips on her cheek. She thinks she might not let him go anymore... And maybe she would do what she has wanted to do for ages. Take his face in her hands and kiss him. She doesn't know if she'd have the strenght to hold herself back...

And now I'm going to start ... somewhere where inspiration kicks in. Still have some plotlines that need to be finished : The attack at my MS's work. The accident and rehab. Troubles of the heart. The trip to Paris. The burning down of the library. ...
We'll see where my pen (and MC) takes me today. :p

It really did help. ^^

Yeah, that's me, switching from scene to scene, because I get stuck on another scene. :p
All those conflicts... Poor MC... She's happy though. I think. ^^;

We had great fun yesterday. I just set myself down and just started to write ... I wrote about 3 000 words yesterday. In 1 go. I usually can't write so much in 1 go. :D
I don't know how I did it. I just sat before my laptop and started typing. I broke through the block I had for 1 or 2 scenes. :D And started a new one! ^^

Too bad there is volley training this evening... That means I can't write. But yay for rain and thunder, that means another busride today. :p:p

Epic words... I'm over 40k. Of course now my fingers hurt and are protesting writing anything today!

Let's see, my first lines today were characters celebrating solving one big problem, and my last lines were a debate about the best way to solve an even bigger one when there really aren't any options that don't likely end with someone dying. It's a very exciting section of story, though, so the writing's going very well!
