Yes, it sounds like you are planning a story that will be more about your character's internal journey (somewhat more common for female protagonists and called the "heroine's journey"). What it really comes down to is that your character's opposing force is herself (or as you said in another post Man vs. Society). She will need to figure out how she can find her place in society and still remain true to herself if indeed she even knows who she is (as a half human half orc). That's her "quest" and its as important/relevant to the reader as any slay-the-dragon kind of story.

It might help things along if she were to meet an adviser or elder that might help guide her as she works things out because it sounds like she needs an outsider's POV.
