Today’s word count is 30,006! And time for mini celebrations and "10k" prizes if you've got 'em. Mine is the two C's - chocolate and a chapter - a nice dark chocolate and a chapter (maybe two) of my current read - a little incentive to help reach for just a little more which can be hard after finishing a tough scene.

So how is everyone doing? Questions? Comments? Swedish Fish fans? It's all good, so keep writing Nano Writer!

37,047 at the moment. Decided not to push myself much past the minimum goal because I have exams the next few days and that's more important at the moment. So no staying up late writing!

I've got five chapters done now. I'm not sure how much more there is to tell of this story, now that they're all together. The conflict I had left probably won't take up 7k, but I really don't want that to escalate. It's just meant to be a sign of what's to come, not the beginning of the next part. So we'll see. Taking on the state is a bit hard to wrangle when they're isolated and content to stay that way. I think the only way I'd manage it is if, at some distant point in the future, I forced them to go back to the city they left. Could be something to work on for next time, but for now, this will do.

If all else fails, I've got more novels and WIPs to work on to get my 50k done. I will get my 50k, even if I have to finish a WIP as well. :D

Definitely exams and sleep should come first! But your word count is golden and should hold for most of the week (Thursday's word count is 36,664) if you need the time.

Thank you :) Very exhilirating for me to win, let alone still have 12 more days to write (I said to my husband last night that I wouldn't get a "winner" bar until the 25th...then I paused and went "holy crap the 25th is still a week away").

Went back today and finished the prologue. It is ten thousand words long (more than three times what I wanted) and accomplishes none of what I wanted it to accomplish, but goddammit it's done.

Overall wordcount for today is 25,370, which is pretty impressive considering I effectively cut 2000 words--in reality I just stopped counting some words I shouldn't have counted to start with. Still short, but that is way further than I expected to be after leaving it alone all week. Hopefully in the coming week I can stop leaving it alone and get really caught up.

Pretty sure 75k in the month is out of the question, but I think 75k in the story is perfectly plausible. O.o
