A few minutes before it turned the 22nd my time I hit 50,101 words after writing more than 9k in one day. I somehow got it in my head that it would be fun if I could hit 50k before Thanksgiving. This is the earliest I've ever finished nano and it was my biggest word count day ever so I feel pretty good :)

I'm going to take a couple days off for the holiday then dive back in and work on finishing the story!

Had a couple of relatively unproductive days, but I think exams are a reasonable excuse for not managing to do my writing. On the plus side, I'm now done with them and I've been able to catch up. I'm now at 42,227, and I think I'm beginning (finally!) to see the end of this narrative arc. Or perhaps the whole thing. It was meant to be more epic than it's turning out. I blame my characters for not wanting to do epic heroic shit yet again after surviving two zombie apocalypses. TBH, I don't really blame them for this. ;)

...Which means I still need to figure out what to do with that dragon. Arse. :/ *ponders throwing it in the Deleted Scenes chapter and forgetting about it*

A wonderful word count! And why not ask the dragon what he thinks should happen? Or have one of the characters ask him? ;-)
