Day 22 - 8 days remaining

After nourishment, shelter and companionship,
stories are the thing we need most in the world.

— Philip Pullman

Today's word count is 36,674! Happy Thanksgiving to all who observe the holiday! And with that I'll leave you to your day!

Questions? Comments? Excerpts to share? It's all good - so keep writing!

A few minutes before it turned the 22nd my time I hit 50,101 words after writing more than 9k in one day. I somehow got it in my head that it would be fun if I could hit 50k before Thanksgiving. This is the earliest I've ever finished nano and it was my biggest word count day ever so I feel pretty good :)

I'm going to take a couple days off for the holiday then dive back in and work on finishing the story!

Had a couple of relatively unproductive days, but I think exams are a reasonable excuse for not managing to do my writing. On the plus side, I'm now done with them and I've been able to catch up. I'm now at 42,227, and I think I'm beginning (finally!) to see the end of this narrative arc. Or perhaps the whole thing. It was meant to be more epic than it's turning out. I blame my characters for not wanting to do epic heroic shit yet again after surviving two zombie apocalypses. TBH, I don't really blame them for this. ;)

...Which means I still need to figure out what to do with that dragon. Arse. :/ *ponders throwing it in the Deleted Scenes chapter and forgetting about it*
