I've still yet to write for today (the weather is nice enough for me to go out and sort out my vegetable garden) but since my last post here I've gone from 21,894 words to 48,193 -- yes, over 26k in one week! Even better, I wrote 10k on Friday and 5k on Saturday.

Would you laugh if I said, after ~11.5 years of writing, I seem to have finally gotten the method out that works for me? I've been working quite well with plotting notes, but what seems to actually get the words out is me writing in 15 minute bursts. I write for 15 minutes, break for 5, then start writing again -- in one hour (3 writing sessions) I can get down between 2.2k and 2.5k words.

Considering previously I've been struggling with writing lots this is really helpful to me, and allows me to look at Mondays and Thursdays (which are full work days) with a lot more optimism -- even if I only have on hour spare, with plans I can still knock out over 2k of words towards my goal.

So, I still need to write, but a few hours after dinner should be enough to get me over the 4.2k daily minimum I need to finish with 90k :)
