The story is not in the plot but in the telling.

So the first week comes to a close today, Nano Writer and the word count is 11,290! If you've managed to keep up, it's time to celebrate writing the first 10K of your story!
If you are behind...
The weekend is a good opportunity to catch up and even perhaps to write ahead to help cover for those days that fall a little short.
And if your weekends are are busy as mine...
Remember: even five minutes is long enough to write a few sentences to help keep the pump primed so that your story won't run dry on you next week. Write a few intriguing words to remind you about what comes next (blood, baby, battledore). Or pose a question for your character to think about while you're away:
Where are you going?
Who are you going to meet there?
What are you planning to do?
When will things get better?
Why?
Questions, comments, more "B" words to suggest? It's all good so keep on writing!
