Talking of Pleasure, this moment I was writing with one hand, and with the other holding to my Mouth a Nectarine -- how good how fine. It went down all pulpy, slushy, oozy, all its delicious embonpoint melted down my throat like a large, beautified Strawberry.

A mouth-watering selection of food and drink heads many lists of things most likely to keep the muse amused. Indeed, special food and beverages are often spoken of as needs rather than rewards. But today we speak of that special coffee drink as a treat for good writing… writing first and then the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

For myself, I’m fond of Trader Joe’s Belgian Butter Almond Thins (a sinfully rich cookie) and plan to reward myself for meeting each day’s writing goal with several arranged nicely on a special plate served with a cup of Earl Grey tea.

Chocolates, coffee, wine… what’s your favorite treat, Nano Writer? Share your secret vice with us! We won’t tell ;-)

Ice tea. Nestea diet lemon without caffeine and Tostitos. And I am beyond happy. I love munching on them while I write. I also have found that drinking a tonne of tea/water (mostly water) helps with the braining.

I think I'm going to try to talk the boyfriend into the notion that we should have a dinner date at a favourite restaurant when I win. :D Maybe Cheesecake Factory or something.

Day to day, I flip between peach herbal tea, water, Smirnoff Ice (mango flavour is best!), and sometimes decaf Diet Dr. Pepper. Foodwise, chocolatey snacks win everything.

Two words: mango lassi.

Barring that, a tub of Nutella. No, really. Me, Nutella and a spoon is at least ten minutes of guaranteed, unadulterated happiness.
