Today I was in a used bookstore and there was a framed quote on one of the shelves. I don't remember the exact words, but the meaning was "I only write when the inspiration strikes. Fortunately, inspiration strikes at 10 each day." It was, I believe, attributed to William Faulkner.
I then got my copy of Rampant signed by Diana Peterfruend, my copies of The Forest of Hands and Teeth and The Dead-Tossed Waves signed by Carrie Ryan, my newly-purchased copies of Boy Meets Boy (not the webcomic) and Every You, Every Me signed by David Levithan, and six out of my eight books (two were already signed from a previous meeting) from the Demon's Lexicon trilogy signed by Sarah Rees Brennan, who gave me a copy of the first three chapters of her impending book Unspoken. It was a great day for writing inspiration :D.
For the record, the reason I have eight books out of a trilogy is because I have the US and UK versions of each, plus the original US version of the first with the ugly cover, plus the Japanese version of the first (sadly, the second and third were not published in Japan).
