To be a writer means to see the unusual in the commonplace,
innovation in the routine, hidden beauty in ordinary things.

It’s the weekend, Nano Writer! Time to get some writing done! We should almost be halfway to the finish line by Monday, so it’s a good time to catch up if you’re behind or write ahead and bank those words for busy/crazy/impossible days when writing is just not possible.
Today is also NNWM First Annual Spring Writing Marathon! More details can be found here.
A reminder too to Back Up Your Work! It’s a good thing! And as always: keep writing!

Date: 2013-04-14 09:37 pm (UTC)I'm really, really hoping to get a ton of writing done on Wednesday (day off) and am torn between writing some tomorrow in between work or spending time plotting and planning.

Date: 2013-04-14 10:47 pm (UTC)As to writing or plotting, that's a tough call. Of course, my advice is to write as you plot, the worse being that you might take a wrong turn but that's okay - put it aside to edit another day - never delete anything written for a first draft. Who knows? Maybe you'll like it after all. Or not - that's what red pens are for...
I hope that you're feeling better soon!

Date: 2013-04-15 09:52 am (UTC)My writing vs. plotting thing is that I have a large defecit to make up, so do I spend a day plotting and enable myself to do a couple of days of flat out writing, or do I work on writing a little above my minimum goal and then plot? I've not been deleting anything, anything I immediately see which doesn't work is struckthrough, so still counts as words, just words to be removed in the editing process.

Date: 2013-04-15 09:40 am (UTC)Though, I've just arrived at a point in the story - that should be rewritten, but... I'm scared to start. It's a hard part. Real personal and just really hard. And I'm not sure if I can bring myself to read (let alone write) it again... *sweatdrop*
But other than that, it's going alright... :-)
