From the end spring new beginnings.

— Pliny the Elder

Another Camp NaNoWriMo has come to an end, Nano Writer. Now begins the bus ride home and we can talk about our plans for our next writing project whether it’s coming back next July, plotting for November’s challenge or even moving on to other creative projects that have been kept on a back burner while we banged out a fantastic first draft or polished an older manuscript, crafting a more beautiful jewel of a story.

And whether you crossed the finish line this time Nano Writer or not, you should be proud of all that you did get done, five hundred words or a hundred thousand, because each word, each sentence, each chapter and scene makes you a better writer! And that’s something wonderful and creative and good!

So let’s hear how things went for you this month: lessons learned, samples of shiny sentences or laugh-out-loud typos - whatever you would like to share before the bus takes us home and we step out to embrace our families and friends who have waited for our return from this grand adventure.

Because it’s time to say goodbye. And until next time, keep writing!

Thanks for your posts - as ever they inspire me during Nano times. I've met my goal and more (I started out with a goal of just 40,000 but managed to scrape over the 50,000). I've finished a story although not the novel I intended to work on before the month started. It's okay, not brilliant, but I'm glad it's done as it's a weight of my mind.

I'm expecting July to be too hectic to head to camp again, but November is more of a possibility (or looking so right now). I have other things to catch up on in the next few weeks, but the writing will continue, because what is life if I'm not writing at least a little. The other bonus to the month we've just had, was that I had set myself an annual goal and in part of the way through March I had managed to fall 24,000 words behind, but thanks to the Nanoness of April, I'm currently about 9,000 words ahead - a much healthy place to sit for my own peace of mind.

Thanks again. I hope everyone else had a good month.

:p I was a rebel and did managed to get quite some editting done. Too bad I kinda lost track of time - I swear, my boyfriend is one hell of a distraction... :p - and forgot to validate my word-count... *headdesks*
Oh well, I got done what I wanted to get done, so I'm happy. ^^

Thanks again for your weekly posts! They were, as always, great to read! :-)
See you in July! :D
