1 Day Until NaNoWriMo

Day (and some hours) Until NaNoWriMo Begins!

This is it! Less than 48 hours to go! Is everyone ready? More than ready? Never ready? Deep breaths (or any of the other exercises we've talked about) should do the trick...

And just to let everyone know how the community will run during November...

Once a day, I'll post a quotation or other inspirational words (I'm still looking for member suggestions here). When this post goes up, please feel free to share your progress with us... your word count for the day, excerpts from your novel, questions... whatever's on your mind. And if you're stuck, blocked or thinking about giving up - speak up! This is a smart, creative bunch of people. The help (or polite kick of the keister) you need may only be a keystroke and click away.

The only comm rules that I'll expect everyone to observe during November:

• Be polite.
  
• Comment only to the daily post so we don't flood members' mailboxes.

I'm also looking for writing buddies! I'm LadySeishou here and at NaNoWriMo. If you're looking for a buddy or two as well, comment below and let's help each other cross that 50K finish line!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the great members of this community! For your support and participation, for all the truly wonderful entries you've posted for the writing challenges and contests - you are an amazing group of talented and creative people! Thank you!

Now to your writing places everyone! The best of luck to all and one last piece of advice... you know I have to say it... keep writing! See you at the finish line!

Not ready at all. This year (And expecially past month) hasn't been kind with me, and for the first time since I started going NaNo years ago I don't have neither a full outline nor an actual idea on how my story will end.

I'm sorry to hear that things have been hard this past year for you! Your writing will be fine... panters do it without a scrap of an outline (and sometimes nothing else) all the time, right?

Just let your characters take you where they will... the ending will take care of itself. And remember - this is just a first draft! Something, no matter how awful, is better than nothing! Good Luck!
