~ Anton Chekhov

And a side benefit of Master Chekhov's advice...
More words are generated! Today's word count is another milestone: 40K! How is everyone doing today? We have several Nano Writers that are close to the end and others working hard to catch up... is there good news (or bad news) to share? Excerpts? Questions? Comments? It's all good! Keep writing!

Date: 2009-11-24 09:05 am (UTC)Crossed the line yesterday, and it has been nothing but sweet. I'm still wanting to write, which is a far cry from the past two years when I stopped writing and only did verification.
Catching them was different from harassing them, cause they usually liked to play unless you fell for their tricks. Then they would try to kill you. If you chased after them even when they did so, then it would be harassment.
It is obvious that my muses and me were on crack yesterday. :P

Date: 2009-11-24 10:14 am (UTC)Got hideously stuck for a bit (there's a turning-point scene in the middle that just wouldn't come out right), so I've gone back to other bits. Some of them I'm not quite sure yet where they're going to go, but I know I'll get them in there eventually!
(edit) Up to 38,507 now, so should be able to finish catching up tomorrow \o/

Date: 2009-11-25 02:14 am (UTC)"Because the Goddess led me to you. I have more than faith, I have proof. She speaks to me, she shows me things. I knew where you would be. She let me in your dream even though I had no access to your blood. I should have needed your blood to do the ritual but I didn't. She accepted the sacrifice I offered in place of it instead. This was meant to be."
Fatastic!

Date: 2009-11-25 03:54 am (UTC)While I haven't quite crossed the finish line yet, I can now say that NaNoWriMo has been a really positive experience for me. This was my first year and I was so excited when I signed up. Writing to a deadline has been both bliss and torture, but it was the experience that has made me decide that I would like to take up writing for a career. I can only get better with more practice.
I'm aiming to get my remaining words written down, which is exciting for me. I wanted to offer congratulations to all those who have already crossed the line. Well done! :)

Date: 2009-11-25 05:07 am (UTC)It helped that I found two more scenes that needed to get added, so I've been working on those. For the time being these new scenes are heavy on the dialogue, but I can swing back through and get more details around them once I've gotten them down in the first place.
