Also of note: the official NaNoWriMo Word Count Validator (found on your Novel Info page) goes live at midnight (your local time) tonight. And no worries if you've passed 50K but haven't quite made it to "The End": validating your word count only confirms that you've written 50K and changes your green status bar to purple. You can still update your final word count through November 30.

Hit 50K ten minutes before midnight, refreshed the site until the validator went live for me, and have my shiny purple winner's bar. This is the fastest I've ever cleared NaNoWriMo and I'm super proud of myself.

And now, bed, so I can get up and help my Mom make dinner tomorrow.
