Discouraged? Thinking about giving up? Hang in there Nano Writer, the end of the Terrible Week Two can be seen on the horizon. Treat yourself gently and get out some of that enthusiasm you brought packed in your backpack to Camp on Day One. Ignore the whining of the mosquitoes of doubt and the temptations of procrastination. Sit down with your character and have a heart to heart talk about what's coming up next and then just write. Trust in your story and just write. Because next week, it will get better.

Today's word count is 17,741. Questions? Excerpts? Word count shout outs? You can do it Nano Writer! Just Keep Writing!

Oh yeah, it happens more than once. I have 2 cats running around at home. :p

I'm not discouraged. Anymore. There will come a time somewhere over the next weeks where I'm going to be discouraged again, but right now, it's all going good. ^^

Nah! You're in a great place. Don't worry about later. Just keep building on that momentum...

Yeah, for the moment I am. But, being in this nice place, makes me lazy and ... I haven't written a single word extra and I'm so going to fall behind again and ... *headdesks*
Oh well, let's see what we get on paper today. :p

Over 2000 words today, and apparently I now have three new characters? I don't know who they are or where they're from, but they've decided they want to be included. Hmm, it might at least let me poke my existing people in the right direction for things they have to do later...

That's fantastic! Wonderful progress! And cheers for new characters! I say give them pokey sticks and put them to work ;-)
