Date: 2011-10-22 11:23 pm (UTC)...but I still haven't named $protagonist, and for a variety of reasons I can't reuse the name I used the first time I used this basic plot idea. Sigh.
She's a half-orc raised by orcs, but I don't want to go with a Tolkien orc name, if for no other reason than my orcs aren't strictly evil or corrupted elves, there being no elves in that world anyway.
I'm thinking Anyitak or Sirikat. Ideas?

Date: 2011-10-23 01:21 am (UTC)I think both are good choices but I would give a slight preference to Sirikat as it might yield more nicknames (if that's culturally appropriate).
Just curious - why go with "orcs" if your people aren't evil (from wiki: supposedly from "orcneas" or related to the offspring of Cain)?
