Day 8 - 22 days remaining

The relationship between hero and opponent
is the most important relationship in your story.

— John Truby

The name of the game is conflict, Nano Writer and as we begin the second week it may be worth keeping this in mind if it feels as if your story is slowing down. To rev things up, heat up the relationship between your hero and antagonist and take something from a simmer and an assessing look to a full head-on boil. And just when things seem good and done, turn the heat up again!

Bring the burn, baby! Today’s word count is 13,336! Questions, comments, favorite chilli recipe? Make it hot, Nano Writer! And keep writing!

I'd sort of had some conflict today, but this part is mostly about adjusting and renegotiation. The new mini-conflict is coming up very soon. >D

I have horseriding in this part, and I've never properly ridden one before. It made things...interesting but I got to watch some videos as research! :D

Finished the day on 17586, so I'm over the moon! :D My main character will have a bit of a run-in with two of the antagonsists in the next chapter, which will seem like a picnic compared with my dastardly plans for the rest of the novel *manic laugh* Poor Beth...

21,025. *falls over* And, yeah, time to break out the wrist braces. (I'm pretty impressed with myself: it turns out that, when on the commuter train with NO INTERNET, I am surprisingly adept at managing 1000 words in 40 minutes...)

25,325! I had no inspiration until my husband got home (it would happen that way) so I feel bad about spending time writing when I told him I wouldn't, but he was playing video games anyway and didn't mind, and I reeeeally wanted to break 25k. Now it's bedtime and I'm wrapping things up for the night.

Also, I found you on NaNo.org. O.o Congratulations on your wordcount! Color me impressed. :D
