Day 9 - 21 days remaining

In a good story the opponent will push the hero around a great deal,
in fact, the more the better. This builds conflict and forces the hero
to dig deeper to fix the great weakness that's ruining the hero's life.

It’s called the Traveling Shovel of Death and if you aren’t familiar with this specific NaNoWriMo brand of tool, let’s just say that it’s a device that you can use to dig up some dirt to throw into your plot. It’s a killer idea and one you might consider if you feel the need to get your hands dirty and you know where all the bodies are buried. Or could be.

Is that groaning I hear? Come on! It' all good clean pun!

Today’s word count is 15,003! What’s your hero up to today? My MC is about to set a trap to catch a killer and there may be a shovel involved ;-) Questions? Comments? Famous last words? How about: Keep Writing!

The TSoD... Oh dear, now I'm not going to be able to get it out of my head.... :p
Anyway, I got dared to start my next paragraph with a lyric from the last song I listened to... That would be a French song of the musical Roméo et Juliette... I'm curious how I'm going to fit that in. :p

Word count is looking good. 16875 in total. Going to add some more after training this evening. :p

Oh, will the trap work? :D A trap and a shovel. I'm curious... ^^

Last words yesterday : "Just leave me alone!"

Very interesting challenge indeed. ^^ And it did work out. More or less. Will work on that part some more later on. :-)

Oh, poor hero. :D But it is always more fun if the bad guy can outwit the hero a little bit. :p

13784, and on track for 15k by the end of today :) I'm riiight on wordcount this year, with barely any buffer. It adds excitement!

What are my heroes up to? Sea battles, mostly. One half of them have just fought off some pirates, and the remaining one is about to be caught in the crossfire of a fight between the ship she's captive on and another branch of the same group of pirates...

Basically, there are pirates.

Finally catching up with the required daily wordcount. Today my MC unexpectedly meets the person she's been longing to meet. This results in her new friends thinking she might indeed be an imperial spy.

23,026. Barely hit my goal for the day, but it's there.

My heroine is playing the Bad Decision Dinosaur game regarding life choices after the hero said something pretty dumb. He, meanwhile, is preparing to take her at her word--which is a really bad idea in this particular context.
