Writing for me is just like building a chair, making an artifact.
The idea is that you build, create a story and cobble it together.
If it stands up, that's good. If it stands up, it's comfortable,
it's a good story, a good chair.
— Scott Smith

This is the beginning of our last week, Nano Writers! Are things building to a crisis for your main character? Does your antagonist still have the upper hand? This is the week that things should really start to move in your story as events build to an exciting, edge-of-your-seat climax…
Will you make it the finish line?
The word count today is 38,341! Questions? Comments? Excerpt to share? It’s all good! So keep writing!

Date: 2011-11-23 08:38 am (UTC)Word Wars and the This or That Challenge are really helping me get back on track with writing. :p
And my training's partner is going to read what I have written up 'till now and give me his opinion and some advice. ^^ I hope he'll tell me this evening. :p
Last week already. OMG. Time flies so fast... ^_^"

Date: 2011-11-24 05:09 am (UTC)You're certainly a braver person than I in that I would never think of letting my beta reader read the first draft - it has to go through one or two revisions before I let the story out into the wild so to speak. But if your partner's advice helps you get your story done...
Good luck!

Date: 2011-11-24 08:43 am (UTC)Well, I've warned him that it is the first draft and that it will need lots of editing. But he often helps me get a story back on the rails, so I hope he will be able to help me once again. :-)
