When the focus shifts from "Will it be good?"
to "Will it get done?" our subconscious is free to
do its work, and that work often bears rich fruit.
— Alan Watt

Today’s word count is 40,008 and time for the last of the 10K prizes if you’re on a mini-reward system! The finish line is close, Nano Writer… you can’t stop now! And as today is a holiday of thanksgiving in the US and many of us have no school or work for the day, why not take advantage of the time off (or a part of it) and just write!write!write!
A reminder too: tomorrow validation officially begins on the NaNoWriMo web site. Let’s us know too when you cross the finish line! Questions? Comments? Inspiring words to share with our Nano Writers that are working hard to catch up? It’s all good! So keep writing!

Date: 2011-11-25 12:18 am (UTC)I have never been comfortably ahead on nano at this point before, and this will be my fourth win - I have always, always been thousands of words behind, flailing incoherantly, chasing after words like a mad thing everysooften and procrastinating most of the time. XD (Not that I haven't procrastinated this time, too, but... I've been writing more, the past few years, when it isn't nano. So I'm in better writing shape, I guess. Yay!)
It's doable! No matter how far behind you are - and it's a huge rush, chasing that deadline, roaring over the wordcount just before it catches you. XD I actually rather miss it.
...Which I guess means that I need to push up my wordcount goal next year. XD
