When writing a first draft, you should be thinking only
about getting ideas onto paper, to have something that
can be reshaped and refined later on.
— Fred White

Today word count is 5K and one! And our first weekend. If you have the time, why not build up your word count and really get into your story? Remember too, your goal this month is to create a first draft - so ignore that delete key and keep the momentum forward and going strong!
Questions! Comments? Word 5,000 and one? It's all good! So keep writing!

Date: 2012-11-03 04:35 pm (UTC)...It was an interesting conversation. XD
NFI what word 5,001 was. The last word I wrote today, though, was 'way'.

Date: 2012-11-03 06:13 pm (UTC)Total wordcount for me at 6:10PM (I'll be doing some more writing later): 7,402 according to WriteWay's count (NaNo's count seems to skew about 20-40 words higher).

Date: 2012-11-03 08:52 pm (UTC)The whole sentence: "I can't, not right now, I can't talk to her, to anyone."
Still a bit behind the personal goal, but catching up. Word wars are a gift from the NaNo gods ^_^
How are you doing?

Date: 2012-11-04 02:53 am (UTC)Let's see my 5K and one word was... "invincible" from the sentence;: "I think that 'Shindou the Invincible' has a good feeling going for it." (dialogue between two characters discussing the merits of "invincible" and "untouchable" as an epithet - less interesting than yours I'm afraid)
I'm a little ahead of my word count goal but I was hoping for better. We'll see what tomorrow brings!

Date: 2012-11-04 03:25 am (UTC)Favorite snippet from today:
I hadn't ever been in Sherlock's room, not really. Oh, I'd caught glimpses through the doorway, and on one memorable occasion had wrestled his drugged arse into bed to sleep it off, but I'd never really looked. Mrs Hudson had always been the one to search his bedroom on danger nights; she'd said he didn't like to have people in his room. Which made sense; his door was always shut, and going in had seemed like a violation. Not that he had any sense of personal boundaries, and he'd invaded my bedroom often enough, but--well, he was above those human rules of social interaction, wasn't he?

Date: 2012-11-03 10:53 pm (UTC)Word count at the end of today : 8467. I'm rather happy with that result.
Last sentence : He smiles and she fights back a blush. She can’t tell him she has been dreaming about him since that meeting.
Okay, so she met her crush in a welness center... :D
