Putting the characters through pain is never a problem
for me. That's where all the interesting stuff happens.
And growth only comes through pain and struggle.
So it's for their own good really.
- J. Michael Straczynski

So Nano Writer, today's word count is 28,333! How is everyone doing today?
For me, I've been struck down by the latest flu bug and apologize for not being around today (and probably for the next couple of days as well). At least I have a fresh perspective on fevers and other modes of illness. And hey, it'll all be for my MC's own good right? ;-)
Excerpts, comments, questions, a bit of purple prose? It's all good!
And as always - keep writing!

Date: 2010-11-17 03:09 pm (UTC)Story-wise I'm also within sight of the end. I'm currently past what is suppsoed to be the dramatic climax thingie and in the resolution-of-things stage. After that another little twist and then the actual rounding everything off. Hopefully I'll be hitting 50K before the actual rounding of and last paragraph and things, because if I do that, I won't have to try and figure out what to do about how to get the last words written. I don't think I'd want to start on the re-write at this sort of break-neck speed. :)
Onwards and upwards!
